Saeedeh Mirtorabi

Lecturer in Classical Persian

PhD Candidate in Linguistics, University of Tehran

Saeedeh brings nearly a decade of experience in teaching Persian to non-native speakers, with students hailing from a wide array of linguistic, cultural, and academic backgrounds. Her approach is shaped by both intellectual rigour and deep attentiveness to the learner’s individual path. She believes language learning is not simply about acquisition, but about entering into a relationship, with a culture, a people, and a way of seeing the world.

Currently pursuing a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Tehran, Saeedeh’s research focuses on Persian syntax, equipping her with the tools to explain complex grammatical structures with clarity and precision. Her academic work is not kept at a distance from her teaching, it nourishes it. Students benefit from her ability to communicate the inner architecture of Persian in ways that are both accessible and illuminating.

Saeedeh has taught across a range of educational platforms and institutions, developing a reputation for her thoughtful pacing, flexible methodology, and sensitivity to the diverse needs of adult learners. She has a particular gift for helping students find confidence and joy in their studies, no matter their starting point. Her lessons are rich with historical and cultural context, encouraging learners not only to speak and understand Persian, but to inhabit its classical and contemporary worlds.

At The Classical Institute, Saeedeh is part of a growing community of educators dedicated to reviving language learning as a craft and an intellectual tradition. Her teaching is a reflection of this vision: serious, generous, and deeply human.
